Ringette is an exciting unique winter sport, played mainly by females but open to all. Ringette is a non-contact sport where players use a straight stick with a specially designed tip and a hollow rubber, blue ring.

Coaches
The development of Ringette in Manitoba is dependent upon coaches who in order to be effective, are required to have the appropriate qualifications and proper training.

National Ringette League

Over the past seven seasons the NRL has expanded to 19 teams, created its own website, added a regional playoff system and has a National Championship event.

Manitoba presently has two teams that participate in the National Ringette League's (NRL) Western Conference. Our teams, the Manitoba Jets and Winnipeg Prairie Fire have returned to the NRL for the 2011-2012 season.

Last season (2010-2011) Prairie Fire finished first in the Western Conference and 4th. in the NRL Championship. Manitoba Jets placed fourth in the Western Conference.
